Miller Quevedo: Wave Concert

Colombian artist Miller Quevedo, presents a new showcase, Wave Concert, in the West Gallery of Silver Street Studios at Sawyer Yards.

Since 2015, Quevedo has called Houston, Texas, home, dedicating himself entirely to his artistic pursuits. Quevedo's journey as an artist has been one of continuous exploration, traversing through various styles from figurative to expressive and abstract forms. Intrigued by the intricacies of the creative process and fascinated by the workings of the human brain in this realm, Quevedo's work often delves into the study of sensory perception.

With a keen research interest, Quevedo endeavors to communicate the significance of developing and honing all human senses, with a particular emphasis on the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic faculties. His latest artistic endeavors transcend the confines of the two-dimensional plane, venturing into the realm of three-dimensional art. Incorporating diverse elements such as wood, aluminum, metal, and ropes, Quevedo's creations offer a multisensory experience for the viewer. Beyond mere visual engagement, his pieces invite tactile exploration and even emit auditory responses, enriching the viewer's experience by activating multiple senses simultaneously.

Visitors can anticipate an immersive journey into the realm of sensory artistry, where boundaries between sight, touch, and sound blur, giving rise to a truly transformative experience. Don't miss the opportunity to encounter Quevedo's visionary works at 2000 Edwards St, Houston, TX 77007, Gallery West, from November 9 to 30, 2024.
