Mic McAllister is a multidisciplinary artist with over 20 years of experience, known for her vibrant and emotive works that blend impressionism and abstraction. Drawing inspiration from her global travels and commitment to social justice, Mic’s diverse body of work showcases her unique voice and perspective.
Through her art, Mic explores themes of community, identity, and the human experience, infusing her pieces with rich colors, textures, and symbolism. Her mediums of choice include acrylic, oil, watercolor, alcohol inks, clay, and repurposed materials, which she combines to create original and thought-provoking works.
With a strong academic foundation in art, Mic holds a Bachelor’s degree from Columbia College and a Master’s degree from Bournemouth University in the United Kingdom. Her experiences living and working in various countries have profoundly influenced her art, and she feels fortunate to have been part of diverse communities worldwide.
Now based in Houston, Texas, Mic has been an active member of the thriving local art scene for the past 7 years. Her studio is located at Winter Street Studios (2101 Winter Street, Houston, TX), where she continues to create and innovate. Mic’s work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and showcases in the United States and abroad, and her pieces are held in private collections globally.
