Mei Hoffman was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and came to America in her mid-twenties to further her studies as a landscape architect. In the years that followed, she started a family, as well as a career that spanned the design, printing, and publishing industries. Now retired, Mei has returned to her lifelong love of art.

Mei's primary focus is painting -- everything from vast landscapes, to intimate portraits, to abstract experiments. She also likes to learn about new mediums, and sometimes makes sculptures from found objects, like the bindery wire from her former printshop.

Drawing on a lifetime of rich experiences and training, Mei hopes that people who look at her art come away feeling stirred from within.
