Angela Alvarado Corson was born in Colombia, where she discovered her passion for art as a powerful tool to reach viewers and sometimes to generate changes in the world around her. She works in multiple media, including paintings, ceramics, and sculptures. Many of Angela's works reflect her personal commitment to making a statement about the position of women in family, society, and as human beings. Her artistic inspiration comes from social life, the people who surround her, the things she sees, and her daily existence. One of the great pleasures of art for Angela is showing her work to others to see how they react and are affected by it. She believes art is like talking to a wall. The wall receives her thoughts and feelings; however, a critical part of her mission as an artist is to then find an audience to go and listen to that wall. Otherwise, much of the point is lost.
