Adam Land Fine Arts is proud to announce the upcoming exhibition, After the Storm: Art Renewal, opening August 2nd at West Gallery, 2000 Edwards Street, Houston, TX, 77007. This exhibition features a unique collection of works inspired by the recent Hurricane Beryl and the powerful windstorms that swept through Houston the last few months.

Adam Land, a contemporary abstract artist based in Houston, brings a transformative vision to life by creating the visual cycle of a storm through captivating pieces. These works explore the themes of destruction and renewal, highlighting the beauty that emerges from adversity.

The exhibition will showcase traditional and alternative printmaking techniques on paper and canvas. These works focus on the human cycle through the disturbed state of the natural environment. The interplay of light and darkness, chaos and calm, is captured through intricate linocut prints, emphasizing the resilience and renewal of the human spirit and the environment.

Adam Land's work is known for its ability to balance direct observation with instinct, control with spontaneity, and the literal with the symbolic. His unique perspective and commitment to quality shine through in each piece, offering viewers a deeply personal and evocative experience.
"I am most proud of my ability to adapt and work through adverse conditions," says Land. "This exhibition is a testament to the power of renewal and the beauty that can arise from destruction. By using materials directly impacted by the storms, I aim to create a sense of continuity and hope.”

After the Storm: Art Renewal is an invitation to witness the transformative power of art and nature. Join us for the opening reception on August 10th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at West Gallery, Silver Street Studios.
