Sculpture Month Houston Presents
ALTAMIRA - 2021
OPENING RECEPTION
October 9, 2021, 6pm - 9pm
Featuring: Seven’s Edge Band
The architecture of the Silos represents a near authentic experience of an urban cave environment with its numerous individual chambers and passage ways. Here the artists can picture themselves working as cave artists with all the modern technologies at their disposal and to create an arc from prehistoric art to contemporary sensibilities.
Included in this city wide festival of contemporary sculpture are 40 participating venues and galleries along with a special group show in partnership Houston First at the Greater Houston Partnership Tower. Chapel in the Sky will present the Ambient Avenues performing arts series alongside artist talks on selected Saturdays throughout the exhibition.
Support us today through our Circle of Friends campaign as we raise funds to directly support the artists.
